I just love this sweet card. I took this flowery branch from Straight From the Nest and the bird too. I chose yellow and blue for my bird. I love this bird!!! I made the branch big enough to stretch across the whole card front. Other than that I just added some clouds and a sentiment. Inside has another birthday related sentiment too. Hope you enjoy!

Birthday Card - Red Bird Frame Card
This is a super pretty and elegant card that I made as a request from my Aunt to give to her friend. I had been watching a video from Emma at My Creative Time and she made a frame card similar to this one, and I decided to give one a try. I made my card 5x7 though so that the window could be bigger. I designed this with my Gypsy. I welded a tag from Gyspy Wanderings, into the card base to create the window. Then I made a frame for the window too. I used PTI paper for the card base this way it would be nice and thick!!! It was thick enough to feel like a well made sturdy card without needing lots of mats and layers. I was happy about that.
I used a Hero Arts Background stamp along with Versamark and black embossing powder to make the Pattern around the frame. Aren't those flourishes so pretty? The embossing turned out so beautifully!!! I was really pleased with it. I added red bling around the frame to make it even prettier and some stitching.
I chose one of Emma's sentiments and matted that and then made some little mats for some square brads and gems on top. I just wanted to keep the other side of the card simple, but matching, so it wouldn't take away from the elegance of the frame.
I cut a branch from Create a Critter and cut the leaves off it, to use inside the card. I used the opening of the window with the white paper and embossed that in my Cuttlebug and placed it inside right where the window closes over it. I loved that. And then the pretty bird...I made an extra layer in my gypsy so the cut outs near the head could be black and the rest could be the other shade of red. Love how that turned out. I made it so the bird fit well through the window when opening it.
I really love this card, one of my favorites in a long time.
Hope you enjoy!

Birthday Card - Wish Big Flocked Bird
Here is a cute little card I made. I used this birdie with the hat from Straight From the Nest and I used some MS Flocking Powder on it. I also Embossed the polka dots onto the hat. Other than that I just did some simple layering, a border punch and some ribbon. that is a good format for simple sweet cards.
Hope you enjoy.

Birthday Card - 5 Felt Flowers
Here is a cute little card I made. I have to say, I was excited to finally get some Paper Trey Ink Paper, and I love how thick it is, but I am disgusted with how it cuts in my Cricut. One shade of green seems to cut not so great but useable, and another shade of green is shredded beyond belief. I used the cutting settings just as listed in the Cricut Cutting Guides. In fact with just a few tries I ruined my Cricut blade and had to replace it. The only thing I have gotten to cut well is just plain simple edges. I am really not happy about that :(.
But I love this card. This darker green grass layer didn't cut that great but I smoothed out the rough edges. So I had to use Recollections for the other layer. The flower tops were from a Jolee's stickers set that I got for 1.50 at scrapbuck.com. You should check them out, they give free UPS shipping on a 20.00 order. And all their prices are really cheap. I got 5 packs of foam squares, 2 sets of acrylic stamps (nice ones that go for 9.99 at M's) and about 7 or so 3D sticker packs. Just the two stamp sets would have been that much. You can't beat it.
I love these flowers. They are made with felt and are stictched with real stitching and have the gem stone already in the center. You get 3 each of 3 colors in the pack. Perfect. I actually love them so much that I went back on and ordered 10 more packs of these. LOL. I figure I will use them on lots of different cards.
Hope you enjoy!

Birthday Card - Black White & Red Cupcake
Here is a little cutie I made. A Gate Card using the cupcake from Straight from the Nest. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on it. I took my versamark and ran it over the embossed part and then used a glittery clear embossing powder to give it some sparkle for the frosting. I used Glossy Accents for the cherry. For the white and red polka dot paper I used plain white paper and then ran it through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and then ran my Blazing Red Staz-on ink pad over it to make it look like this. I love how this card turned out. Hope you enjoy.

Congratulations Card - Row of Flowers
I absolutely love this cut from Straight from the Nest. I love how the grassy part layers together. I think if I make this again though I will design the flowers with an extra smaller layer and the center in my Gypsy to give them more dimension. It might be pretty to see a two toned flower that way. For this card I used Core'Dinations paper. It is a nice quality textured paper that cuts pretty cleanly on the Cricut and there are lots of vibrant colors to it. Something a bit different from just using the Michae's card stock all the time. The back ground paper is from DCWV Doodlin Around stack I believe. It was a sheet that had a border around it, which I didn't care for so I cut away the plain parts of the paper to use as patterned paper. I am not afraid to do that, you get a little less of the sheet of paper that way, but it works for me. Hope you enjoy.

Mother's Day Card - Flowers
Here is a super simple card I made. I got this flower cut from Straight From the Nest and it is so pretty. The flowers themselves come from the border feature though. I decided to put them on this square and then mount it sideways like this on my card base. It left enough room for the sentiment which is from My Creative Time's set that is all about Moms. Hope you enjoy!

Episode 14 - Birthday Card - Joy Fold Cupcake
So this video went a little long, I apologize in advance. I don't edit my videos so what you see is what you get, LOL. I wanted to make a card which really showed the process I go through and so I didn't pre atg everything and all that which I have done in the past to get my videos down in time. So if you get bored fast forward through parts that don't interest you. After I was all done, my card got tilted while drying and the glossy accents made a total mess. So needless to say I stripped the whole cupcake off and threw it out and made a new one, with glossy accents and stickles all over again! LOL. Oh well. Hope you enjoy. And here are pics of the finished card.
Also welcome to all of my new followers :). It is so nice to have you...and there is still another day to get in on the blog hop I had over the weekend as well as my So Saturday Challenge #3!
