Episode 23 - Just Because Card - Nuttin's Better Than You

Here is another of the videos I made a couple weeks ago for you all. I have been staggering posting them so they would last longer while I recover from my surgery.

Hope you enjoy this little cutie...I just love the way it turned out!

Episode 21 - Fawntastic

Here is this adorable card that I made on video for you all on video. After the video I added the green stickles to each leaf and the bottom of the grass. For this card I took the Scrappy Moms Stamp that said Hope Your Birthday is Poodles of Fun and I put tape over the Poodles of Fun and then used the Fawntastic to go with it. Perfect.

You are my Sunshine!!!

I had this idea in my head as I went about my day. I had picked up this sentiment stamp at Michael's for 1.00. It's one of their wood mount ones. I love to make scenic cards and I had this idea of the sunshine from Create a Critter being front and center on a card, so that led to the gate card style. I totally love how this card turned out inside and out. The sunshine is so cute! I used glossy accents on it's cheeks. I wanted to keep the inside fairly simply with the outdoor scene and I just added a tree from Cindy Loo. Yellow was the perfect base color to go with the sun light. I think anyone who likes to make scenes should get this Martha Stewart Grass punch with a coupon. You just can't beat it. I use mine all the time. I love to layer my grass with darker and lighter greens. I made the clouds from Create a Critter too and only cut them at an inch. I love how the size fits so well with this card. I embossed them with the dots to make them stand out more. Hope you all enjoy!!!

First Tent Card- Outdoor Scene

This is my first tent card. I got the idea from Momo's first UStream Class. I had never considered making this type of card before but in her video it was so awesome and I loved how much more 3 D it could make my scenes that I like to make. I guess on a tent card you write your message on the back. I wanted an outdoor scene. I chose blue as my card base because the parts not covered are the sky and it worked out perfectly. I placed another light blue mat that I embossed with my Cuttlebug Divine Swirl pattern. I love the dimension that gives. The clouds were from a die I have that goes through my Big Shot and I raised them up on pop dots. The tree is from Cindy Loo and I just cut part of it way. The fence is made from a Martha Stewart Punch as well as the grass. I love how I layered everything to give the 3D look. The sunshine I added on the front of the card and I quilled it. I think it turned out totally adorable. I love quilled sunshines. I like how this all came together and how 3D it really looks. I also love that it folds down into a normal A2 sized card. Perfect. Thanks for the great demo Momo...I am very happy with my card and can't wait to try this one again.

Birdhouse Shape Card

This is just a little birdhouse card I made last weekend using my Cindy Loo Cartridge. I just wanted something without a sentiment that I could use for whatever. And this birdhouse turned out super cute. I love the colors and the accents! What do you think?

Hello Cat!

I made this card last weekend. So cute. This is the cat from Cindy Lou. I added some wiggly eyes to her face and used glitter on her flower and feet and made her back legs and tail white with a dusting of glitter. I think she's cute. Since I was leaving a lot of the card showing it was perfect to use my Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder. The simple brown ribbon and bowl gave it that extra touch! I think I cut this cat at 4 inches.

WOW...What a Colorful Card

I watched a video at Creations with Christina the other night, an older one I think. Well she was using the birdhouse from Cindy Lou. Cindy Lou was my first cricut cartridge and the first time I made this birdhouse I just didn't fully understand the concept of it. I was missing an entire layer! Well now I have figured it out. I really love this birdhouse, bright and cheery. In hindsight I wish my bird was Purple or Yellow, but it's still cute. I cut her legs off to make her look like she was just there laying around. The little hearts are just from a heart hole punch. I lined the roof with really sticky tape and them sprinkled it with glitter! My little sentiment fit right in that spot perfectly!

Birdhouse Pink Fringed Flower Note Card

After making the birdhouse card the other day I really wanted to make another one. This time I wanted the lighter color over the darker color again and I wanted to try the cricut using some glittery paper. I was amazed as the cricut just cut right through it like a breeze. It is a nice touch to have the sparkles though this picture doesn't seem to be showing it so well. This striped paper came in a pattern pack I got from Joann's a while back. I have a ton of printed papers and I am rather picky about them, so sometimes it is hard for me to choose a layout and design to go with them. I am happy with how this one turned out.

Live Love Laugh Yellow Quilled Flower

I made this note card tonight. I was trying to match up some blues and greens and use this patterned paper I have. I am not sure in hindsight if I really like the ribbon but since I glued the ends down and the quilled flower was already in place I am leaving it alone, LOL. I cut the stem for the flower from the Cindy Lou Cricut Cartridge. I love the colors and the textured papers in this simple little note card.

Tree Card-Family

This card turned out awesome! I made the tree using my Cindy Lou Cricut Cartridge. As soon as I saw the tree I knew I would be quilling the leaves and placing them over top of the leaves already there. Such a cute tree! I can't wait to make more cards using this tree. The grass was made using my Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch which I adore. I love to layer grass with two shades of green to give it more dimension. I love how the grass uses the same shades of green as the leaves. I had a vellum pack which has sayings on it and I took the Family from that and double matted it. I really like how the one branch and leave expanded up to the mat. This card reminds me of a family tree. I can't wait to see how I can combine the Cricut and Quilling together to make some fantastic designs. Hope you all enjoy!

Pink & Yellow Birdhouse Card

Wow. So this card took me so long to make, probably much longer than it looks like. I used my Cricut Storybook to make the bird and the Cindy Loo to make the Bird House. The Letters were cut with the Storybook. After I had it laid out I decided it needed something around the edges so I tied in the pink polka dots to match. I raised the bird up on a pop dot to give it some dimension and separation from being on top of the same colors. I just knew I wanted something on the bird house as an added embellishment so I used the three spiral roses which look so pretty. All in all I like this card very much, and it was fun to tie in quilling with cricut work and it gives a whole new spin on cards I can make now. I hope you all enjoy!
