Just Because Card - Thinking of You Flowers

I also made this pretty card at the crop the other weekend. I focused during the crop on using cuts I had never done before. This flower vase was a little confusing. The flower layers really got me confused because I didn't use the same colors as the book. LOL. For the vase though I ran it through my Swiss Dots folder and then inked the raised up side with darker blue, but then turned it over and let the back side show, and I love it. I used my Divine Swirl on the top of the white mat and then inked over it with light pink Memento ink. Love it. Very soft and pretty. I just added some bling to the white ribbon and that was about it! I love it. Hope you enjoy.

Just Because Card - You're my Cup of Tea

As soon as I saw this cut on Kate's ABC's I knew I had to make this a shape card and use that sentiment from Scrappy Moms. It just goes perfectly. I decided to use my favorite color, purple, for this...but I think it would look awesome in red, white and yellow too. I ended up cutting the end of the spoon to make it a little shorter when I packaged it. It was only a quarter inch from fitting 5x7 so I decided to snip it and round it off with scissors. I did put the spoon on pop dots so it appears raised up, as well as the sentiment. I love all the extra little doodling I did to this one to make it stand out more. Hope you enjoy.

Just Because Card - Think Spring Wagon

First let me welcome the new followers who joined me from the blog hop over the weekend. I am so honored you chose to follow my blog! I hope you will be inspired by my creations.

I made this card at the crop I had the other weekend. I wanted to make Sharon a card, one of my bloggy friends because she had surgery recently and can't even craft right now until she heals. So I thought a nice springy happy card was in order for her. Have I mentioned that I am in love with Kate's ABC's??? I mean this cartridge just has the prettiest and cutest cuts every. I have been having a lot of fun playing with it. I love how my wagon turned out. I really blinged it up. I felt that a pink wagon really needed to be even more girly. And then the plants. I cannot believe how well that green plant cut out using this card stock from Michael's. WOW. That was intricate and it cut it perfectly. I added some gel pen to the pant and the butterfly. For the sky I took a very light blue paper and sponged it with Staz-on Teal Blue to give the sky a more vibrant color. The cloud is from Create a Critter, the sentiment on it is from Scrappy Moms. The grass and the fence are from Martha Stewart Punches.

I was so excited to send her this pretty card that I didn't event take a picture of it. YIKES. There is only one card missing from my blog, my Dad's birthday card from this year. Sharon was nice enough to take this picture and send it to me though so I could share her card on my blog.

Hope you enjoy!

On a Side note, thank you for those who have sent me well wishes. I had some tests done the other week which I was really scared about, but for my sake they came out exactly how I hoped. I majorly failed one and passed the other so that means I can be considered for surgery. Right now I have a tentative surgery date for May and I meet the surgeon on May 6th so unless something doesn't jive hopefully I am getting surgery done here soon to cure my Acid Reflux that is really making me miserable and draining my energy. I am hoping that I am able to make more videos after I feel better on a regular basis!

Mother's Day Card - Watering Jug of Flowers

I love how this card turned out. I decided to make this cut from Kate's ACB's and I used a pretty patterned paper for the watering jug. I used these two colors for the flowers and I love how they turned out. It was also interesting to use this gray because I hardly ever use gray, but the patterned paper had a shade of gray in it. I made this cut on the ribbon ends this time, which I also never do. The sentiment worked out great stamped onto the image itself. If you haven't seen this new set of Scrappy Moms stamps go check them out, you can switch the Mom out for just about any family member! It is so awesome. You can click to their site by clicking my Guest Design Button on the side bar here on my blog. Hope you enjoy this card.

Birthday Card - Purple and Yellow Flower Pot

I am in LOVE with this card. But boy what a pain this cut was from Kate's ABC's. I cut this at 3.75 inches I think and that is about the smallest you could hope to go. As it was the layers barely cut, but they did indeed cut. I really think the work was worth it because this flower pot and flowers look awesome. I added some stitching around the yellow part of the flower pot and then the baker's twine and the button around the flower pot. I really think it makes it. I popped the entire pot and flowers up. I used the same purples and yellow to make my layers, but I really needed the flower pot to be on a different color, so I went with white to tie in the white from the twine. I used my blender sponge tool to ink the edges of the white paper with the Royal Purple Staz On ink and I am really loving the effect and how it blends all the colors together but actually makes the image really pop! I hope you enjoy! The images on Kate's ABC's are the cutest ever.

Easter Card - Chocolate Bunny in Grass

Here is my super cute card I made using Kate's ABC's. I wanted to make one more Easter Card for this Season and I chose this cute cut. I did add some more of the darker green grass clumps from Create a Critter, besides the one that cuts with this. The layers on this cut were really easy to do. I also made some more light green grass using a border punch. I added some gems to the flowers and butterfly. Oh and I rubbed the entire chocolate bunny with Versamark Frost and then used clear embossing powder on it and heated it up for a shiny shimmery effect. I really love how this card turned out!!! Hope you enjoy.
