Hi everyone...I thought I would participate in another Scrappy Moms Tuesday Challenge...I like to whenever I can!!! This week the challenge is to use Life is a Beach and it is themed to fit their brand new stamps that were released Friday, Sun Kissed. I went ahead and ordered the new stamps right away because I had to have them. They are SOOOOO cute.
Anyway, as soon as I saw this sentiment "You make me Melt!" I had this idea brewing in my head and I knew I had to make this card right away. I just got my stamps yesterday but I didn't do any crafting yesterday so when I saw their challenge today I had to get started. :)
I made my own snowman. I took the hippo puddle from Create a Critter. Then just a couple of circles from George. I sized them to look like the bottom half of the snowman was melting. I wanted him to be melted by the sun. I took the sun from Life is a Beach but I only used one of the layers and hid all the face parts. Then I took another circle from George and sized it over the center of the circle, figuring I could get a two toned sun then and have a little bigger spot to create a face. I grabbed the top hat from the turkey on Create a Critter and wrapped twin around it. And I also used a glittery embossing powder to make him sparkle.
I pulled in the lips from Indie Art and then created the eyes using circles and ovals from George that I sized to fit. I wanted one hot sunshine LOL. I used cotton candy stickles on the cheeks and then Yellow Stickles all the way around the sun. Sparkly and pretty.
Other than that I just used a little pattern paper for grass and matted my perfect sentiment!
I figure this is more of a cute card for someone to give to the one they love. It is summery and wintery but it really isn't about the seasons, its the sentiment.
