Birthday Card - Pink Mushroom Sweet Birthday Wishes
I must admit, I am totally loving this card. I didn't think I was a huge fan of the mushrooms but after watching Crafting with Cristina's Ustream last Friday I decided that her mushroom was really cute and I decided to make one too. I skipped the face layer. I ran the bottom and top through the Cuttlebug for some texture. I also raised the little curly pink layer up 3 times thick. For my background I used some baby blue sky color and some pastel green for grass. I tried a new technique I thought of and flicked the tips of my grass against my Forest Green Staz-on ink pad. I love this technique because the little flicks of darker green give it more dimension and accents the grass pieces to make them stand out more. I think I am going to do that often! The sentiment goes perfectly with this card and was stamped using Staz-on Cherry Pink. This is why I love Scrappy Moms Stamps, because I can make my entire card and then go back and add a sentiment, and trust their stamps 100 percent not to botch my hard work. I added Stickles to that curly layer and it really is pretty. I am surprised how much I am loving this card, and it has inspired me to cut some images that I wouldn't first think of. Hope you enjoy.
