Birthday Card - Flip Flops!!!

I so love how this card turned out. Hehehe. I decided to make these Flip Flops from Life is a Beach. It's kind of funny that I cannot wear flip flops nor would I be caught dead wearing them, but that is because I am super picky with shoes and comfort, LOL, but I know that there are so many cute ones out there and so many who love them. I wanted my pair to look very realistic. I know I have seen many flowery designed flip flops so I used this patterned paper my Martha Stewart. I also used a shimmery blue paper and cut each flip flop 6 times in that paper and then once in the flower paper...so there are 7 layers of paper. I wanted it to look thick like a flip flop. Then I hid the etch marks also for where you place the straps because I wanted to glue it in a way that the straps are raised up and not flat. I glued the center part first and then the two ends, just curving them up before placing them down. I love how that turned out, and then added the bling to each part where the strap would be secured to the flip flop. I think they look really realistic and pretty. Almost makes me wish I could be comfortable wearing them. I created a little beach scene to place them on! Hope you enjoy.
