Palm Tree Tent Card for my Sister

So this is the card I have made for my sister's birthday. My sister loves Palm Trees so I wanted to focus a card around a pretty palm tree. I decided to make this card 6x6 and tent style. I love the 3D look it gives it to have some of the scene mounted on the front of the card and some on the inside. I think this is going to be one of my favorite cards. The sand like paper was from Creative Memories from a few years back. For the water I cut strips with my scallop blade on my rotary trimmer and then ran each through my crimper. I love the two toned water. For the sky on the inside I used the Divine Swirl Cuttlebug Folder. The clouds are from a die cut I have. The sunshine I quilled and it looks fantastic!!! The sea shells were from Create a Critter and I pop dotted the pink and yellow ones to give them more dimension. And then the palm tree. I LOVE this palm tree. I used Create a Critter to make it. I ran the green top layer through using the Cuttlebug Diamond Plate Folder, and then I used my Zig Two Way on each of the embossed raised up parts and then used a light green glitter. The result looks awesome as a palm tree. I totally love it.

The center picture shows how this thing looks from the side and then the last picture shows the pockets I built into the back of the card. The larger blue pocket holds the yellow paper which is what I will use to write a note to her. Then the smaller lighter blue pocket is for the gift card I will give her. I love that she can just keep this card on display for however long she wants, standing up on a shelf or something. This card took me a few hours but it was so worth it!!!
