Quilled DOLPHINS!!!
Whoo Hoo!!! My first ever quilled dolphins and I am pleased to say I got these done on my first attempt. Pretty proud of that. I used a silver shimmery paper that is white on the edges so it gives an interesting look of swirl on the dolphin. I used 22 inches of paper curled into the largest circle on my circle template board and then I had to shape it. These dolphins are for a custom order I am working on and it's for an anniversary card. I wanted two dolphins jumping out of the water to meet each other. Very romantic! For the water I used my scallop blade on my rotary trimmer and then ran it through my crimper. Gives a nice effect. The splashes are made using small quilled coils made into tear drops. I just love how this turned out. The card is pretty amazing too, but I can't show it here until it is complete. I am waiting on pictures and a poem from my customer to finalize it, but I can show this lovely accent that I am so proud of! I see more quilled dolphins in my future!
