Birthday Card - Blue Polka Dots and Flowers
I am so totally in love with this card...I just want to kiss it! LOL. Not sure what it is but I really loved these patterned papers together. SO MUCH!!! These are from a Heidi Grace stack...my very first Heidi Grace stack and I just love the softness and the colors in them...I thought these two printed papers complimented each other so well. I did notice though that her paper is thinner than the DCWV but not as thin as some printed papers, so that wasn't too bad. Brown and cream were the perfect colors to coordinate with this. I made a 5.5x5.5 card and then did a 5.25 layer and then a 5 inch layer that I used to put my 4 2.5x2.5 squares onto to make the pattern here. I then adhered ribbon over the seams. Then I cut some circles using my CM circle templates and used my Fiskars Daisy Circle border punch. I don't see a lot of people use them, so I think I will do a video on this style of card and give a little demo on how to use them. I have two of these style punches and they are kind of cool! I used a sentiment from Emma on her Wow So Many Candles stamp set. Turned out lovely. The little daisies I made were from a Paper Studio Daisy Punch that I love. Hope you enjoy...and stay tuned soon where I share a set of 4 A2 sized cards all made with these papers too!
