Babies and Diapers and Onsies Oh My Challenge!
I decided to participate in Momo's Latest Challenge and it was a challenge for me. I don't usually ever make baby cards so this was something different for me. As I thought about this card in my head I was picturing the baby sleeper from my Every Day Paperdolls. I thought the crawling one was so cute. I started to picture a baby crawling across my card, and the idea stemmed from that. I started by building my baby and because it was going to be attached to the coins for the slider I needed the whole baby to be one piece. So I had to glue each piece to another piece of paper and then cut the entire baby out. I haven't used my Storybook much so I decided to make the letters with it. In order to have the letters at each top and bottom corner like this the baby had to go in the center, so I made my slot in the center. I didn't want the baby to spin all the way around so I made sure my pop dot was long rectangular and big enough that it doesn't have too much room to turn much. This was perfect, now the baby just slides across the card but can't spin all the way around, which looked silly before I prevented it. For my embellishments I just used some small circles and pearls and gemstones to match the card with a little bit of white doodling. I kept it simple because the letters pop anyway and the crawling baby is really the main focus!
I hope you all enjoy this card! It was a new challenge for me, especially doing a boy card since my cards are so often female!
